Visitors From Texas

This December BDP had a wonderful visit with the friends from St James church in Dallas Texas. Father Cliff and Gigg Gardner came with Barbara Eastwood to see the work they have been supporting at the Bwindi. They met the BDP executive members during their meeting at Buhoma, hiked to the Batwa Cultural Preservation site and went to the Batwa village at Byumba to see the clinic they have helped to start. They also visited the on going construction works for the vocational school at Byumba Pres Christian school.

Funds for Home Building

Kevin Dugan from the University of Scranton is volunteering with the BDP from December 13th all through the Christmas cerebrations. Kevin has raised funds to build two homes for the Batwa at Kyabuyorwa / Kebiremu and Rurangara villages. Kevin has made commitments to collaborate with BDP in their efforts to empower the Batwa of Bwindi in the areas of home building, and promotion of sports as an additional strategy to unite the communities at Bwindi.
