The mission of Bwindi Community Hospital (BCH) has always been to provide excellent healthcare first and foremost to the local population including the Batwa. But increasingly patients needing specialty care are being referred to BCH because of the hospital’s expertise as a teaching and research hospital.

Daniel Jamison isn’t just a host. Besides his main job of providing hospitality to the many guests living and arriving at the Bwindi Guest Houses, Daniel also hosts a time of prayer, conversation and Scripture study every week - and all are invited.

Batwa community members regularly meet at their banda for worship, sewing, meals and various community meetings. It is a hub of communal activity for all the Batwa settlements in the Bwindi region.

Volunteers, medical workers and students all come to visit and work in the Bwindi region and among the Batwa.
