Partners in Agriculture
Batwa families are cultivating their own crops and growing healthy food for their households while being mentored by a full-time Batwa Development Program (BDP) Agricultural Officer.
The Batwa Development Program provides:
Seeds and training in sustainable agriculture from soil preparation and fertilization, to the handling of harvested beans, maize, eggplant, cabbage, ground nuts, millet, and bananas
Workshops with model Batwa farmers whose high-achieving farms serve as demonstration gardens for other Batwa farmers
Emergency provision of food and new seeds in cases of drought and flooding
Primary school gardening workshops and a bountiful harvest for school lunches
Together we can create a community free of hunger!
How to Help—any amount toward these goals makes a difference!
